Growing up, I always loved collecting sunglasses. As a firm believer in eyewear, I never forgot seeing images of Paris Hilton in her oversized Dior Glossies, Nicole Richie in her round Eley Kishimotos and last but not least, Mary-Kate Olsen’s half lensed Chanel frames. Since then, I’ve collected everything from vintage ’70s butterfly peach Linda Farrow sunglasses, rimless Gucci shield wraparound frames and my Takesh Eyewear heart shaped Lolita-inspired frames. Truth be told, a pair of sunglasses are like a disguise: you can either hide your Friday night hangover, wear a dark pair to avoid running into an ex or use a pair of statement frames to make heads turn.
If you never found a pair of signature shades to try out, here are some pairs that you should try out:
- Miu Miu’s Heart Frame Aviators

Release the inner child in you with these Lolita-esque heart shaped aviators. Rounded at the edges and rimless, these Miu Miu shades are born to make your face pop. Since it’s got tinted lenses, you can absolutely flaunt your eye makeup or wear ’em indoors.

2. Miu Miu’s Glitter Cat Eye Tiny Sunglasses

If you can’t get over your tiny sunglasses, take it up to the next level with these Miu Miu cat eye frames. Although it’s super feminine, it honestly looks great on anyone who has a more masculine face shape, too. What this does for my face is that it gives that feel of raising my eyes, which evens out the roundness of my cheeks. If I have to count on a pair for the rest of my life, I’d definitely go for these Miu Miu ones.

3. Prada’s Clear Butterfly Cat Eye Frames

Wearing sunglasses indoors kinda makes you look douchey, but if there’s something that can meet your needs, I’d definitely play it up with a pair of clear lensed glasses that bear a brand logo. (Mind you, the logo must be on the lens!)
These Prada glasses are great for adding some extra aesthetically pleasing IQs if you wanna look like an aspiring Harvard graduate. Throw it on with any outfit whether you’re going to a beach in a bikini, a graphic tee with jeans or a plunging shirtdress on a red hot date. Trust me, you will win some serious style points. 😉
